Hotel Information

By booking your hotel stay at the conference hotel, you help RSES keep the costs of the conference registrations down. RSES has reserved a block of rooms at the following conference hotel:     
          Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel
          777 Waterside Dr.
          Norfolk, VA  23510

Guest room rates are:
          Single/Double (city view):
               $105/night, plus 13% sales tax and $2/night City of Norfolk occupancy tax
          Single/Double (harbor view):
               $119/night, plus 13% sales tax and $2/night City of Norfolk occupancy tax
          Triple/Quad (city view):
               $125/night, plus 13% sales tax and $2/night City of Norfolk occupancy tax
          Triple/Quad (harbor view):
               $139/night, plus 13% sales tax and $2/night City of Norfolk occupancy tax

The cost for a third person to share a room is $10 per night. Children under the age of 18 do not stay free in a parents guest room. Roll away beds are available for $10 per night and can only be delivered to rooms with a king bed (they do not fit in rooms with two double beds). There is a limited number of roll away beds, therefore they are first come first serve once on site.

In order for the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel to confirm a guest room assignment they require one nights room and tax deposit, refundable up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival.  Major credit cards are accepted.  
      
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.  Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

Reservations can be made now through the hotel and should be made no later than Oct. 18, 2011 to ensure the group rate. Conference guests are required to either call or make reservations online.

The hotel charges one nights room and tax for early departures. However, if the departure is changed before check-in or at the desk while checking in, there is no fee.

Cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival in order to obtain a full refund.

Internet access is complimentary in all guest rooms.

The discounted self-parking rate is $7/day with in/out privileges.
