Hotel Information

By booking your hotel stay at the conference hotel, you help RSES keep the costs of conference registrations down. RSES has reserved a block of rooms at the following conference hotel:

Guest room rates are:

Single/Double $109 per night, plus tax (currently 14.05%)

The cost for a third person to share a room is $25 per night. Children under the age of 18 stay free in parents room provided they use existing bedding. Rollaway beds are available for $10 per night. All rates are subject to prevailing taxes (currently 14.05%).

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

In order for the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador to confirm a guest room assignment they require a first night's deposit, refundable up to seven days in advance of the conference date. Checks and major credit cards are acceptable to establish prepayment. All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately.

Reservations can be made now through the hotel and should be made no later than Oct. 15, 2010. Conference guests are required to either call the hotel directly or make reservations online. 

By phone:
To make reservations by phone call the hotel directly at 800/445-8667 and be sure to ask for the RSES Annual Conference room block to get the discounted rate.

Online:
To make reservations online, simply visit Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort.
 

The hotel charges a $50 early departure fee, so please ensure when making your reservations and again at check-in that you have the correct departure date listed.

Cancellations must be received at least seven days prior to the conference guest's arrival date.
 

Transportation Information

The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador is located on the northwest side of Tucson, 22 miles from the Tucson International Airport, approximately 45 minutes away.

Transportation options from the airport to the hotel include car rentals, taxi service, or shuttle service provided by Arizona Stagecoach.  These services are available at the Tuscon International Airport main terminal.

(*Note, the Arizona Stagecoach is similar to Super Shuttle and is a multi-stop shuttle.  The Hilton El Conquistador is the last stop on the way to the hotel and the first stop on the way to the airport.)

In addition to the above options, the Hilton El Conquistador will provide shuttle/transfer service to/from the airport.

Hilton Shuttle Service will be available at the following times specifically for the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society conference:

     Nov. 11th - Depart the airport hourly from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., on the hour.
     Nov. 14th - Depart the resort hourly from 4:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., on the hour.

If you arrive at the Tucson International Airport outside of the Hilton shuttle service schedule noted above, the Hilton is also providing transfer service.

(**Note, if two guests are arriving and departing on the same flights and are staying in the same room, the Hilton will only charge the guest room for one transfer.)

Both hotel shuttle service and transfer service need to be arranged in advance.  To take advantage of either Hilton transportation options (shuttle service or transfer service), the RSES Transportation Request Form needs to be completed and e-mailed to the resort five days prior to arrival.

Charges for transportation provided by Hilton can be charged to your guest room or to a credit card.  The hotel accepts American Express, Diners Club, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards.

Automobile Parking

The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador provides complimentary self parking for cars, trucks, vans and RVs. If you choose valet parking the rate is $11 per day.
