HVAC Industry Embraces Virtual Reality Technology

Attendees at the 2017 AHR Expo were treated to the beginnings of a new development in the industry, virtual reality technology. More specifically, those at the show got a taste of how the technology can train the next generation of technicians, reports Engineering 360.

Brown Technical Media Corp., a division of Panther Biotechnology, in partnership with The Center of Air Conditioning and Heating, is bringing virtual reality-based training to students that might not learn as well in traditional environments.  The set, which can be kept at home, allows personnel the ability to train on their own time. As the technology becomes more mainstream technicians will find new ways to use it.
