Service Application Manual

SAM (or the Service Application Manual) is the resource you need to acquire the broad-based competence that success in the HVACR industry demands!

SAM is the oldest living reference manual available that contains literally thousands of pages of technical data, equipment analyses and evaluations, field application instruction, regulations, good practice codes, business development guidance and more.  Access to the hundreds of SAM chapters currently available is a member benefit.

Members of RSES can begin searching through SAM by using the SAM Search menu on the left, or you can navigate through the sections listed in the menu to the left  to find chapters. SAM has been reorganized into 25 main categories with subcategories to make finding the information you are looking for simpler.  You must be a member and logged into the website in order to view the chapters.
