The RSES Member Webinar series continues with an exploration of reading electrical wiring diagrams.
Electrical troubleshooting is the most important skill that a HVACR service technician can obtain. It’s a known fact that most HVACR malfunctions are electrical in nature (roughly 70-80% of service calls). Sadly, electrical troubleshooting and wire diagram usage is a poorly developed skill which leads to expensive parts changing and costly callbacks.
This webinar will focus on the reading and interpreting information from wiring diagrams that are commonly used in the HVACR industry.
Brynn Cooksey, CMS, RCT has been in the HVACR industry for more than 16 years. He started as an employee of his family’s business and currently works as a Master HVACR Mechanic at DTE Energy (an electric and gas utility company serving southeast Michigan). Cooksey specializes in industrial HVACR maintenance, service, equipment-performance testing and electrical-power generation. He is additionally an adjunct HVACR instructor with various community colleges and technical schools in Southeast Michigan.
