HVACR Apprenticeship

Delmar, Cengage Learning has partnered with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation Plumbing Apprentice and Journeyman Training Committee, and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) to develop a four-year program for HVACR. These textbooks for apprentices, entry-level technicians, and students are written in accordance with industry driven, real-world curriculum and are accompanied by useful instructor supplements containing resource materials and lesson plans.

The books begin with simple concepts that provide an overview of the world of HVACR and its main systems and components. Coverage then progresses to increasingly complex procedures, such as maintenance and inspection, installation and repair, and customer service and sales.

This building-block approach, combined with numerous practical examples, makes the book the ideal resource for learning and applying key HVACR concepts.
Backed by these world-class organizations and the high standards and cutting-edge resources that they are known for, Delmar will produce high-quality, industry-driven products that meet the needs of HVACR professionals.

Features of this series include:

• Content that is written using the basic language and terminology encountered in the HVACR field, providing readers with information that is relevant and applicable to onsite work.

• Detailed graphics with pictures, graphs, and tables, which serve to clarify and illustrate important systems and processes.

• Field examples and real-world scenarios that are used throughout, encouraging readers to think critically and preparing them for work in the field.

• Instructor's resources with a computerized test bank of final exam questions, PowerPoint® slides that highlight key concepts from the corresponding text, and an image library.
