Minutes: SW. VA Chapter 5-10-2011 meeting minutes   President Danny Browning welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced the chapter officers. Secretary / Treasurer Jim Kroll gave the Treasurers’ report for the chapter account and the MSERA conference account. Both accounts are in balance with the April 29 bank statement. The MSERA conference account will be closed out following the distribution of the conference proceeds. The SW. VA. Chapter, as host chapter for the conference, will receive 1/2 of the conference surplus; South Carolina, and the North Carolina State Association each will receive 1/4 of the surplus distribution within Region 4. Danny reminded everyone of the combined MSERA and RSES Annual Educational Conference to be held November 2-5 in Norfolk.   The following officers were unanimously elected for the term of office starting at the September 8, 2011 meeting: President – Mike Belcher 1 st Vice-President – David Hancock 2 nd Vice-President – Lennie Johnson Secretary / Treasurer – Jim Kroll Sergeant-at-Arms – Billy Bartlett   The NATE exam session has been scheduled for May 31 at Virginia Highlands Community College. In preparation for the NATE exam session, some practice questions were distributed with time allowed for everyone to answer the questions on their own. Discussion of the questions and answers concluded the meeting.   Our next chapter meeting following the summer break will be September 8, at 6:32PM, at the Tuscan Italian Grill, 502 Cummings Street in Abingdon, off I-81 at exit 17.
