Minutes: The meeting began with President David Castro presiding over the meeting. Roll call of officers. President David Castro present, 1st Vice-President Ernie Dimuzio absent, Sec/Treasury Ronnie Lindig present, Sgt-at-Arms Adolfo Sauceda present, Educational chairperson Dallas Lesley CMS present. A motion was made and seconded to accept the meeting minutes. There were 48 members and guests at the meeting, including Robert Nino of TDLR. Technical schools attending were Southern Career Institute and Everest Institute. Robert Nino of TDLR brought brochures for the students advising them to get registered with the state and talked about warranties. EDUCATION PROGRAM Luis Ortiz of LgO Services made his presentation at the October meeting. Luis talked about performing duct blaster tests and door blower tests. He emphasized on keeping leaks down to 3% without the appliance connected and 6% with the appliance intact. Luis, thank you for the presentation, both onscreen and hands on.President David Castro presents Luis Ortiz with his Certificate of Appreciation. A motion was made and seconded for our chapter to grant a Student Member Scholarship to the three individuals from Everest who have formed an A/C Club and who have excelled highly in their studies. By becoming student members, they will help encourage other students to become members and subsequently, active members. Congratulations to Jack Harvey, Green Wilson and John Boutte (not pictured) of Everest Institute who were each awarded a student scholarship and are the newest members of the RSES San Antonio Chapter. They are flanked by Adolfo Sauceda and Dallas Lesley CMS on the left and Peter Smith CM and Ronnie Lindig on the right.Our very own Director, Mike Heye CM prepared the meal for the evening for all the members, students and guests.
