Minutes: The April 19, 2022 meeting was held at Virginia Highlands Community College starting at 5:32 PM. The current ECU bank statement was verified by chapter officers. Mr. Rhymer provided handouts and covered a PowerPoint presentation on A2L refrigerants. He started with a brief recap of the refrigerants that have been used from the 1980's up to the introduction of A2L refrigerants now. Some of the topics he discussed include the flammability of refrigerants, refrigerant concentration limits, ignition of refrigerants and ability to sustain a flame, refrigerant detectors and sensors, training and tools for A2L refrigerants, and the various standards related to A2L refrigerants. The May 17, 2022 annual business meeting will be held at Virginia Highlands Community College in the HVACR lab to discuss future plans for the SW. VA. Chapter.
