Five Reasons to Join

The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES), established in 1933, is the world's leading education, training and certification association for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration professionals. We offer several types of membership including individual, corporate, school and lifetime.

RSES’ mission is to provide opportunities for enhanced technical competence by offering comprehensive, cutting-edge education and certification to both our Members and the HVACR industry.

There are many reasons why you should belong to RSES. Here are the top five:

1) Comprehensive Training and Certification

Specialized HVACR training/education is the #1 reason individuals join RSES. The association publishes in-depth courses in Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electricity, Controls, Heat Pumps, Hydrocarbon Safety, NATE Certification Preparation and more. In addition to its publications, RSES also offers educational opportunities through CEH Corner, webinars, seminars, local Chapter meetings and classes, as well as online training with numerous eLearning courses.

Certifications include EPA Section 608, North American Technician Excellence (NATE), R-410A, California Title 24, RSES SM/CM/CMS and more.

2) Timely Information and In-Depth Technical Resources

RSES provides timely, reliable access to information important to the HVACR profession.

RSES Journal, the official monthly magazine of RSES, is a peer-reviewed publication that keeps everyone interested in the HVACR profession up to date through a wide variety of feature articles and news of the profession. Members also can access RSES Journal archives of technical articles since December 1995.

The RSES Service Application Manual (SAM) is available online at no charge to Members and contains thousands of pages of technical data, equipment analyses and evaluations, field application instruction, regulations, good practice codes, business development guidance and more. New chapters are added periodically.

3) Webinars

Improve skills and earn CEHs with the RSES Webinar Series, designed to augment RSES' many other in-depth training programs. Free monthly webinars feature industry experts presenting on a variety of topics. They are geared toward helping individuals with technical information they can apply on the job. Also, archived webinars since April 2013 are available under the Member-only section of the website. Members can earn one CEH by listening to live webinars or they can be purchased for $10 after airing.

4) Networking/Volunteer Opportunities

RSES local Chapters and the RSES Conference offer exciting and valuable educational and networking opportunities. RSES also provides volunteer opportunities to serve the profession and the Association in many areas through its local chapters.

5) Member-Only Benefits and Services

RSES provides Member-only opportunities!

Career assistance – Through the RSES Career Center job postings are maintained and updated regularly. Job seekers' resumes are searchable by employers with current job postings. RSES helps you make the right connections professionally, with confidence and confidentiality.
