RSES Renews Articulation Agreement with
Pennsylvania College of Technology

Arlington Heights, Ill. (Sept. 6, 2022) – RSES and The Pennsylvania State University affiliate, Pennsylvania College of Technology (Williamsport, Pa.) have renewed an articulation agreement that provides college credit for students who have completed RSES training courses.

This agreement establishes a mechanism for working technicians completing RSES training courses to earn credit for specific coursework at Penn College in the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Engineering Technology (HEV) program at the appropriate entry point.

“The pathway agreement between RSES and the Pennsylvania College of Technology will help individuals entering the industry with opportunities to turn their work life experiences into an advanced degree,” says Jason Killinger, Associate Professor and Department Head, HVAC Technology at PCT. “Students entering advanced coursework at Pennsylvania College of Technology, who combine their studies with their work life experiences of RSES, will become the next leaders in today’s HVACR industry.”

PCT will grant 51 credits for successful completion of specified RSES training courses toward a Bachelor of Science major in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Engineering Technology (HEV) from its School of Engineering Technologies.

“RSES is thrilled to continue to partake in this program with PCT,” says Jim Barron, Interim Executive Vice President, RSES, “as it gives professionals committed to their continuing education an opportunity to be rewarded for the study/testing hours they have already put in with RSES. We look forward to working with PCT and other schools on similar programs.”

Additional information on specific courses and requirements is available at the RSES website Training section or www.rses.org/PCT.aspx.
