DOE Issues Final Ruling on Test Procedures
ASHRAE reports that this December, the DOE issued a final rule on test procedures of small, large, and very large air-cooled commercial package air-conditioning and heating equipment. The rule references and discusses the following ASHRAE standards: ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 37-2009 Methods of Testing for Rating Electrically Driven Unitary Air-Conditioning and Heat Pump Equipment, ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2013 Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, and ANSI/ASHRAE 127-2007 Method of Testing for Rating Computer and Data Processing Room Unitary Air Conditioners.
