The Bill Clinton Presidential Library & Museum

First opened in 2004, the William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum located in Little Rock, AR is a LEED-certified facility covering more than 167,000 sq. ft. and is considered the largest in the presidential library system. The riverfront location and other surrounding features have been incorporated into the design of the new library. It was the goal of Bill Clinton and his designers to make the building as innovative on the inside as the outside. With that goal in mind, the Polshek Partnership Architects included a demand-controlled ventilation system and radiant-floor heating and cooling. The library brought in Titus to complete final HVAC touches on the project.

Once on the job, Titus deduced that a variety of grilles and diffusers needed to be installed in the library. These included the OMNI, the CT and an 8F grille. Each of these products was chosen for its ability to create optimal performance in the most efficient way possible.

The OMNI was chosen for its performance in VAV systems. The curvature of the OMNI’s backpan works with the formed edges of the face panel to deliver a uniform 360-degree horizontal air pattern, without excessive noise or pressure drop. The steel plaque plate diffuser on the unit is designed with unobtrusive lines to blend into the ceiling system without sacrificing results.

Titus CT linear bar diffusers are designed for heating and cooling applications, supply as well as return. The diffusers can be used in a number of different locations including ceiling, sidewall or sill installations.

The 8F is an aluminum perforated return grille with 3/16-in. holes on 1/4-in. staggered centers. Perforated return grilles have a standard 51% free area on the face and can be used as a matching return in conjunction with perforated supply diffusers. The grille was designed with a number of options including a filter frame and steel, aluminum or stainless steel construction.
